Filipinos are probably among the most resilient people on the planet. Typhoons, flood, earthquake, and now Taal volcano eruption – they can withstand them all.
Thanks to the innate Bayanihan nature that runs in the blood. Bayanihan, or the spirit of communal unity, work and cooperation is evident once again throughout this whole ordeal. And Filipinos, being one of the biggest users of Facebook, share these photos on social media with the hope of inspiring and encouraging more people to do similar acts in their own little ways.
The inspiring spirit of “Bayanihan” shows how we give back to the community. We invited artists, musicians, community leaders, and good hearted people to join us for an evening of camaraderie, brotherhood, and friendship.
The creation of Montreal Band-Aid comes from a belief that music can do great things, it binds people, and allows us to explore and express our hopes, dreams & sorrows in a medium that people of all walks of life can tap into.
FCAAQ would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who have been part of this wonderful initiative.
Montreal Band-Aid in collaboration with St. Kevin's Parish presents "Aide Taal" a Benefit Concert for the victims of Taal Volcano Eruption in Batangas, Philippines featuring local Artists & Musicians from Montreal this coming Sunday, January 19, 6PM to 9PM at St. Kevin Parish Hall
Montreal Band-Aid is our way to give back to the community. Since 2008, we have helped various community organizations during their fundraising initiatives. We raised funds and donated a large portion of our proceeds to various community initiatives or charities in Canada and the Philippines.
Our trained staff (volunteers/artists) gather to prepare a musical event wherein family, friends, and members of the community are invited to a day or night of brotherhood, fun & entertainment. A portion of the proceeds is donated to chosen initiatives & charities.
It’s amazing what we can do when we come together. I am proud and honored to have been given the opportunity to lead such talented and passionate individuals. I will do my very best to discover genuine artists, mold them into great gems, and later turn them into treasures where they will shine and glow for the entire world to see. Thanks for the support that’s made it all possible! – Michelle Vargas Lao, Founder & President, FCAAQ.ORG
